My Studies
Year 1998
Well my studies are the most interesting part of my life today
first because it takes a lot of my time ,I actually "live" in the
university ,we (I and my friends) not only study in the TAU but we
spend some significant amount of time in the cafe of the Wolfson building
and the rest of the time you can find me in the computers room or in the
Neiman library.
Of course there is a lot of fan in university-almost everybody is creative
there allways things to laugh about.
The second point is that my studies are boring and interesting in the
same time -On the one hand -all those machines , mathematics and
computers isn't it the finest and most interesting thing in the world
for somebody who is "in" technology?
But on the other hand the exams are the most painfull thing I would say
Because they take a lot of energy from which ,may be I could use better,than
I do it now.
I hope that the students of the future won't waste so much time on preparing to
those stupid writable exams but will study something intersting instead.
The system is bad and someone should think about it.
What we do outside campus?
Sometimes we make a party at somebody's apartment in hostel,usually it happened
in Artem's place.We play and sing music there with guitar and drink a lot of
vodka,wine and beer of course,we could smoke some aromatic Nargila, also we make
some shishlik and go to the beach,because it is near the campus.
Typical day during the semester
We wake up between 9 to 11 o'clock and we are eating with appetit
then we decide ,that it is time to visit the wolfson buiding(campus)- it is
really very very grey building ,and usually the people in this building have
the same color.Because of that,we didn't like to be present at the classes,we liked to
be in the places with a lot of light - library of Neiman or the cafetery.when we
reached the campus we first went to the cafetery and drink something hot and sweet
like a tea or cofee with cruason.After that we looked for a person who did a homework
and asked him to give us to copy it.The day over between the library ,where we copy by
hand the homework and the cafetery ,where we eat,smoke and take some rest,using our
6-th sense ,like the kabbalists say - the sense of humor.
Typical day during the session - our one in 3 months - period
In those critical days when we used instead of "allways - night"
a lot of portions of espresso in order to stay awake during this tough day.
Of course we never cheated our tradition ,to visit the cafetery at first in best
case at 9:00 o'clock or in the worst case at 11-12 o'clock.Then all members of our
lazy group left to the different directions in the search of information to copy.Like
the Sherlock Holmes send his little guys to receive the news in town ,remember?,in the
same manner Yevgeniy gave to us (me - Mikhail and Artem) jobs to do - copy this material
or other from different kinds of sources.Himself(Yevgeniy) tried to do the hardest jobs,
made some usefull connections to people ,he knew in our sabra group ,because he was bestly
assimiliated to Israel reality - he studied here in high-school and over the fire and water
and copper tubes in the army - he was a commander of a tank.Whereas Artem over a good school
of Russian reality - he could(and can) find a path to every girl's heart and the two girls of
our faculty were not an exception.And as you know my dear reader ,girls usually have a good
handwriting - which is very essential issue when you are trying to understand some kind of
lecture.
Artem is like a fish in the water he can find a way to every person he communicates with.
He served in russian army, studided a little at the Electornics faculty in the university
of Moscow and then came to Israel,and studied here at "mechina" and in the university of
Jerusalem - mathematics ,but he dropped out here and there in Russia ,probably thanks to his
tremendous ability to drink wine and other - more powerfull drinks .But despite this sad fact
Artem had gotten such an appropriate experience in cheating at exams,copying lectures and exams,
writing notes for an exam , systematic studies for the exams,and like every normal student he
had never had even some little money in his pocket, so that he never thought for himself to buy
things in a store, he prefered to say,I got those jeans in this store,and this jacket in other
magazine .He was our Teacher in those matters - and he was allways planning how to bring in life
this or that affair. He is really a legendary personage in our unique group .
